Medical Reimbursement
pay for non-reimbursed medical expenses for
themselves, their spouse and their dependents with tax-free dollars.
Medical insurance covers many medical expenses,
but not all of them. This benefit is separate from medical insurance. The
employee does not have to have medical insurance with the company to qualify for
this benefit.
Through a medical reimbursement account, employees
can be reimbursed for out-of pocket healthcare expenses such as:

Health insurance deductibles &
co-payments

Annual physicals
-
Glasses, contact lenses and supplies
Physical or mental therapy

Drug or alcohol dependency treatments

Dental work, orthodontics/braces

Hearing aids
Employees contribute to their account through
payroll deduction, the company sends us the money and we account for it by
employee. Then, when an employee incurs out-of-pocket expenses for any medical
expenses, they send us a copy of the receipt and a Request for Reimbursement and
we reimburse them for up to the amount of their annual election.
To help employees determine how much to put into
their medical reimbursement account we provide a worksheet for all
employees.
